📋 Description

• Serve as an escalation point to the Elevate HR services team, providing legal support and guidance • Provide guidance on risk considerations, compliance factors, and legally sound options for client HR partners • Help client HR partners frame compliant guidance within Paylocity’s service scope and contractual limitations • Provide internal direction on employment law topics, including wage and hour policies, leave, accommodations, employee relations, terminations, and workplace conduct • Analyze employment scenarios using client-specific facts, policies, workforce practices, and applicable laws • Support interpretation of multi-state employment law requirements • Develop and deliver training sessions, legal updates, and education materials • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Elevate HR leadership, and other internal parties on legal guardrails and escalation criteria • Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on HR compliance, risk mitigation, and service quality • Create internal tools and resources supporting consistent and compliant HR advisory services • Support other Elevate offerings, product compliance, and internal employment matters as needed

🎯 Requirements

• JD required • Admission in good standing to any State / DC bar • 6+ years of employment law experience • Multi-state employment law experience • Ability to clearly explain legal concepts to a non-legal audience • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Experience supporting HR outsourcing or employer services organizations preferred • Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day • Ability to operate computers, phone systems, and multiple software programs simultaneously • Must be available five days per week during designated work hours
