📋 Description

• Develops relationships and works closely with selected insurance agencies focused on commercial insurance • Responsible for underwriting, classing, rating, and binding risks in the field • Follows corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines for profitable commercial growth • Maintains and develops professional working relationships with agents, loss control, rating and sales teams • Produces desired commercial lines growth with profitable results • Qualifies, rates, and binds commercial risks for agencies • Monitors agency results for growth and profitability • Acts as a liaison between agents and the company • Researches and advises company of changes within the industry • Travels to agencies within the state to assist in writing commercial risks.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field • 5+ years of experience in underwriting, field underwriting • 3+ years’ experience in underwriting or agency management, preferred • Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred • Demonstrated skill in listening and communicating • Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
