📋 Description

• Own design for every usage-based feature end to end, from vendor or customer discovery through specification, design, launch and measurement • Ship the next phase of Pinpoint Checks, including DBS update service with automated routing, rechecks, downstream data transfer, decision and audit flows, and UK high-compliance checks • Design credit visibility, self-service costing and in-platform credit management • Shape Marketplace product strategy with the PM into 2027 and execute on it • Conduct shared discovery with the PM • Document decisions, edge cases and resolved questions in tickets before development • Prototype in code when more effective than Figma, submit PRs for small front-end fixes and QA shipped work • Serve as the domain expert for Support, Sales and Legal regarding stuck checks and vendor data handling • Present Marketplace work at weekly design critique • Contribute new patterns to Thumbtack, Pinpoint's design system

🎯 Requirements

• Experience designing complex B2B software products alongside a PM and engineers, with shipped work to show for it • Owning an area as the sole or lead designer is a plus • Startup or scale up experience • Hands-on experience designing around constraints set by a regulator, compliance rule or third-party vendor API • Experience with multi-state workflows such as orders, cases, applications and checks • Familiarity with enterprise-scale permissions, configuration, multiple personas and scalable flows • Daily use of AI across research, testing, bug investigation, prototyping and documentation • Technical depth and appetite to learn to ship small PRs with Claude Code • Production-ready UI craft demonstrated in a portfolio • Ability to make and own decisions when data is unavailable • Fluency in commercial outcomes including margin, adoption and conversion • Portfolio must demonstrate enterprise product work; agency work or consumer apps only are insufficient • Willingness to work as an individual contributor on one squad • Bonus: HR tech or ATS experience, and credits, billing or usage-based pricing experience
