📋 Description

• Build and own relationships with regulators, government officials, legislators, consumer groups, trade associations, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders across the UK and EU • Represent Plaid in industry working groups and policy forums on open banking, open finance, smart data, payments, security, and privacy • Lead research and analysis shaping Plaid’s positions on key issues and informing regulatory engagement and advocacy • Own the planning and execution of Plaid’s UK and EU policy agenda • Coordinate projects with internal and external stakeholders • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Communications, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams • Monitor emerging policy trends in the UK and EU • Identify risks and opportunities for Plaid’s business • Recommend strategies for policy engagement

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in UK or EU financial services policy • Strong existing relationships with policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, trade associations, think tanks, and consumer groups in the UK or EU • Proven track record of advocacy and policy influence within financial services • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders, including those across the political spectrum • Resourceful, adaptable, and collaborative approach • Curiosity about product, technology, and AI • Policy experience across both the UK and EU (nice-to-have) • Experience working on open banking, open finance, payments, or data-sharing policy (nice-to-have) • Based in London (nice-to-have)
