📋 Description

• Coordinate the work and lead the team for the Easy Open End and Personal Care segments • Provide technical service and trial support to customers throughout the EMEA region • Attend important trials across the entire EMEA region • Improve machinery settings • Ensure trials and plant-related activities comply with EHS policies and agreed standards • Provide technical support to customers with new technologies and legacy products • Lead technical assistance to major customers • Apply Best-in-Class line trial and plant audit methodologies across Coatings in EMEA • Deliver training programmes for PPG and customer-facility personnel • Partner with equipment suppliers to enhance PPG technical support capability • Deliver post-conversion technical support and respond to problems using established problem analyses • Instigate continuous improvement programmes at customer facilities • Establish working partnerships with plants and PPG peers • Share data and experience globally through the Technical Support SharePoint site • Perform troubleshooting activities at customer sites • Investigate failed trials and prevent recurrence • Work with Segment Support labs to test trial can items and support local development projects • Report to the Technical Service Manager EMEA

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years working in a technical support / service role in the coatings or packaging industry • Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Engineering background • English speaker to a professional level • Willingness to travel within EMEA (up to 70%) • Previous experience in end-makers or engineering • Ability to work in accordance with EHS policies and agreed standards • Ability to use Secure Launch and other PPG quality tools • Ability to use established problem analyses, including Kepner-Tregoe programmes
