📋 Description

• Own Primer's internal developer platform end to end, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, self-service tooling and ephemeral environments • Build the human-AI development loop, including tooling and automation for working alongside coding agents • Instrument developer productivity, identify delivery bottlenecks and implement improvements • Join the Core Infrastructure on-call rotation and own the reliability of built systems • Set technical direction for how engineers build and ship, while supporting less experienced engineers • Partner with product teams to improve tools, frameworks and internal APIs • Build paved roads, reduce application boilerplate and own golden-path tooling • Work transparently across a fully distributed team • Report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Data and collaborate with senior infrastructure engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Strong cloud infrastructure experience; AWS is preferred and strong GCP backgrounds will also be considered • Hands-on Kubernetes experience • Infrastructure-as-code experience; Terraform preferred, with Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar also acceptable • CI/CD core competency, including ownership of build, test, deploy workflows and preview environments • Experience measuring and improving delivery using DORA, SPACE or a similar framework • Comfortable owning production systems and participating in an on-call rotation • Genuine software engineering background building and maintaining applications or products • Ability to reason about code usability and developer experience • Async-first communication style suitable for a remote, distributed team • Hands-on experience with AI or agent tooling, or LLM-based development workflows is nice to have • Familiarity with MCP servers and agent integration patterns is nice to have • Payments, fintech or regulated-industry experience is nice to have • Must be based in one of the countries where Primer is currently hiring: UK, South Africa, Romania, Portugal, Poland, Ireland or Hungary • Must have working rights in the country where based
