📋 Description

• Lead on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners. • Maintain and improve standard terms, templates, and contracting processes to speed up deal cycles. • Support RFPs and tender submissions, particularly for government and academic institutions. • Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders. • Develop contracting playbooks, training materials, and scalable legal workflows. • Collaborate closely with Sales and other key stakeholders to support commercial aims and risk mitigation. • Coordinate work with external counsel when needed. • Advise on broader commercial matters as they arise, including marketing, IP, and consumer issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years PQE; UK or EU qualified (US-qualified also considered) • Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (in-house or private practice) • Confident engaging with counterparties across the UK, US, and Europe • Experience supporting RFPs/tenders, ideally including public sector and academia • Ability to streamline contracting processes and develop playbooks, templates, and training • Strong communicator able to translate legal issues clearly for non-legal stakeholders • Comfortable working independently and under pressure, with excellent stakeholder management skills • Some working knowledge of employment law and worker/employee status
