Protect Democracy is a nonpartisan, nonprofit group working to prevent authoritarianism. It focuses on ensuring democratic processes and values are upheld in governmental practices.

📋 Description

• Review and analyze changes in public voter registration data and absentee ballot data • Provide election officials with timely insights and answers to data questions • Write and present accessible data reports • Conduct legal/policy research for context in reports • Partner with colleagues across Protect Democracy for data analyses and custom tools • Expand and enrich current data with external datasets • Create and refine standards for reporting and best practices • Build and maintain relationships with partners in the election community

🎯 Requirements

• Interest in public or civic data and commitment to data-driven and non-partisan analysis • Ability to communicate a clear story with data in writing and presenting • Proficiency in Python • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Growth mindset with comfort in a feedback-oriented culture • Excellent critical thinking skills • Rigorous attention to detail • Ability to track, prioritize, and manage work efficiently • Comfort working in small teams and contributing to a collaborative culture
