• Manage KPI, KRIs, agenda, cadence, and key decisions for the Data Governance forum, working group, and steering committee • Maintain the business glossary ensuring key decisions are accurately documented • Establish and maintain clear connections between Technical Data Specifications and key fields • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date data catalog that describes datasets • Design and deliver training programs for team members • Liaise and collaborate with Data Solutions and other colleagues • Support other Data Governance team members with policy implementation • Assist Data Owners in categorizing data processes • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and assign responsibilities for Data Owners and Stewards • Map and maintain detailed documentation of data flows within the governance framework • Conduct research to identify historical data errors and gaps • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of predefined data quality controls
• Associate, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience required • 8+ years of work experience in positions leading cross-functional teams • delivering executive communication (written and verbal) • executing business process improvement initiatives • understanding data’s relationship to business and information technology processes • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Experience working in a complex setting with multiple stakeholders • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments • Experience in managing work intake, backlog and capacity planning • Strong interpersonal skills to coach and manage employees and build collaborative relationships with peers required • Prior data governance or risk management related experience a plus • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences a plus • Ability to articulate business drivers to technical audiences required • Communication and conflict resolution skills to reconcile different points of view and requirements during cross-team and cross-organization efforts required • Six Sigma or business process improvement experience a plus
