📋 Description

• Provide clinical leadership for Psychiatry UK's Children and Young People services, ensuring safe, effective, evidence-based care and excellent patient outcomes • Lead and support the multidisciplinary clinical team through expert guidance, best-practice promotion, and collaborative culture-building • Partner with the Clinical Director and operational leaders to shape CYP services, drive innovation, service transformation, and continuous quality improvement • Oversee clinical governance, CQC compliance, safeguarding, regulatory standards, clinical quality, and patient safety • Monitor clinical performance, patient outcomes, and service quality using data, audits, and patient feedback • Support clinician recruitment, induction, supervision, mentoring, and professional development • Chair and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support effective service decision-making • Collaborate with operational colleagues on clinical capacity, workforce planning, and patient pathways • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated working and service development • Influence national service development while maintaining clinical quality, patient safety, and operational excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Medical degree with postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent) • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Extensive Consultant-level clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Demonstrable clinical leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment • Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary clinical teams • Evidence of clinical audit, quality improvement, and service development participation • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, patient safety, and regulatory compliance • Extensive knowledge of evidence-based assessment and treatment for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and wider child and young people’s mental health conditions • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and decision-making skills • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and patient-centred care
