• Provide clinical leadership for Psychiatry UK's Children and Young People (CYP) services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based care and excellent patient outcomes. • Lead and support the multidisciplinary clinical team by providing expert clinical guidance, promoting best practice, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture. • Work in partnership with the Clinical Director and operational leaders to shape and develop CYP services, driving innovation, service transformation, and continuous quality improvement across the organisation. • Oversee clinical governance, ensuring services meet CQC, safeguarding, and regulatory standards while maintaining the highest levels of clinical quality and patient safety. • Monitor clinical performance, patient outcomes, and service quality, using data, audit findings, and patient feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance clinical effectiveness. • Support the recruitment, induction, supervision, mentoring, and professional development of clinicians, helping to build a skilled, engaged, and resilient workforce. • Chair and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, providing clinical oversight and supporting effective decision-making across the service. • Work collaboratively with operational colleagues to optimise clinical capacity, workforce planning, and patient pathways, ensuring timely access to high-quality care for children and young people. • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting integrated working, service development, and the continued growth of Psychiatry UK's CYP services.
• Medical degree with postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent) • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Extensive Consultant-level clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Demonstrable experience providing clinical leadership within a complex healthcare environment • Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary clinical teams • Evidence of participation in clinical audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, patient safety, and compliance with relevant regulatory standards • Extensive knowledge of evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and wider child and young people's mental health conditions.
