BotCity is a software platform that enables enterprises to build, orchestrate, govern, and scale automation based on code (notably Python) and computer vision. 📋 Description

• Own and evolve the front-end of BotCity’s products • Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies • Focus primarily on desktop experiences, with some mobile development that may evolve over time • Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and translate them into technically feasible, user-friendly solutions • Maintain and improve the front-end codebase by refactoring legacy code and implementing best practices • Ensure performance across multiple devices and browsers • Participate in code reviews and uphold front-end development best practices • Identify and troubleshoot front-end issues to ensure a seamless user experience • Write reusable code and libraries for future use • Optimize components for maximum speed • Set front-end standards and playbooks to help the team scale • Raise the team’s bar through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing • Report to the Engineering Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer • 3+ years on complex front-end projects alongside Product/UX/UI teams • Solid software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, design patterns, component architecture, and state management • Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress • Front-end performance optimization experience • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript • Expertise with React and Next.js • Experience with Git and GitHub • Experience with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, and Notion • Fluent Portuguese • Advanced English • Ability to drive initiatives to completion with accountability and take calculated risks with the customer in mind • Ability to start from customer needs and execute carefully while maintaining the big-picture view • Ability to communicate proactively, clearly, concisely, and respectfully challenge decisions • Ability to actively seek, give, and act on feedback • Prior experience in an early-stage, high-growth, fast-paced startup environment • Ability to travel as needed to support events and meet the team
