• Monitor federal, state, and local payroll, labor, and tax regulations to ensure Push and its clients remain compliant. • Research regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal teams and clients. • Support compliance audits, internal reviews, and external examinations. • Maintain documentation for compliance processes, tax registrations, and state filings. • Work closely with the Payroll, Product, CX, and Implementation teams to ensure customer setups and processes meet compliance requirements. • Manage tax account registrations, state unemployment insurance (SUI) setup, and required filing updates. • Review client payroll data for compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. • Assist with resolving federal and state tax notices. • Contribute to the development of internal policies, controls, and process improvements.
• 2+ years of experience in payroll compliance, regulatory research, HR compliance, or related fields. • Strong understanding of US labor laws, tax regulations, and multi-state compliance requirements. • Excellent research, analytical, and documentation skills. • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information. • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly. • Experience working with payroll or HRIS platforms. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across teams. • Bonus Skills and Qualifications: Experience handling multi-state tax registrations or payroll tax compliance. Prior work in SaaS, payroll, or HR technology environments. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, privacy laws). Experience responding to tax notices. CPP, FPC, or similar certification.
