📋 Description

• Support the Financial Controller with daily, monthly, and annual accounting tasks • Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner • Complete month-end processes in line with the month-end close list • Coordinate monthly payroll with the external provider to ensure accurate processing • Liaise with audit partners to complete annual audits • Manage sales ledger and credit control • Perform bank reconciliations • Process invoice payments • Reconcile company credit card payments • Manage purchase ledger, including invoices and expenses • Process monthly payroll and manage the pension scheme • Complete balance sheet reconciliations • Liaise with external bookkeepers and auditors • Assist with quarterly and annual returns, including VAT and National Statistics • Complete month-end postings and variance analysis

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of Sales & Purchase ledger experience • AAT Qualified or Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent (Certificate in Business Accounting/Applied Knowledge completed) • Excellent numeracy and Google Sheets/Excel skills • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment • Previous accounting experience, ideally in a payables function • Right to work in the United Kingdom • Successful pre-employment checks, including unspent criminal convictions and employment verification • Experience using Xero, Paycaptain & Moss (optional)
