📋 Description

• Develop and manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals • Manage third-party consultants, attorneys, and vendors involved in permitting and land acquisition processes • Oversee permitting processes for renewable energy projects and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations • Coordinate with legal, environmental, and technical teams to complete studies, surveys, and documentation supporting permitting and land acquisition • Monitor and manage timelines and budgets for permitting and environmental studies • Engage with local governments, public officials, and community groups to address concerns, communicate project benefits, and ensure community buy-in • Stay current on regulatory and policy changes affecting land acquisition and renewable energy permitting • Overcome site and regulatory challenges at complex sites to ensure project success

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or related occupation • Experience with land use regulations, environmental permitting processes, and zoning laws • Experience with evaluating land and utility distribution networks for optimal siting of renewable projects • Experience engaging with local governments, public officials, and community groups to understand clean energy project priorities • Knowledge of regulatory and policy changes that impact renewable energy projects • These experiences may have been gained through employment, internships, or fellowships
