📋 Description

• Develop category strategies for Air Freight, including sourcing strategy, value engineering, and stakeholder management • Act as the resident expert in strategic procurement for the Air Freight category, aligning with World Courier's global/local teams • Lead fact-based negotiations with suppliers and secure leadership approvals • Analyze category spend baselines, profiles, and risk assessments; track value delivery • Ensure compliance with governance processes and contract management; coordinate cross-functional initiatives • Travel across markets as required; fully remote within the United States

🎯 Requirements

• Transferable experience in managing a logistics/transportation commodity strategy and operational outputs of logistics/air freight • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or finance • Minimum of five (5) years of strategic procurement, spend analytics and category management experience; preferably seven (7) years in Indirect Procurement • Experience with cross-functional problem-solving teams; strong business acumen and communication skills • Proficiency with data analytics and indirect procurement systems; MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel
