📋 Description

• Support local safety functions and assist units in interpreting, developing, implementing, enforcing, and monitoring safety management programs • Serve as a professional safety resource supporting the American Red Cross mission and reducing organizational risk costs • Liaise among field units, regulatory agencies, their representatives, and Headquarters to improve communication, compliance, and liability management • Provide support, development, and leadership guidance to volunteers • Provide oversight and guidance to assigned units on regulatory compliance mandates • Develop or conduct related training programs • Evaluate safety procedures and compliance with Federal, State, and local laws • Analyze, report, and collect safety performance, property and casualty, and other loss data • Support implementation of actions resulting from performance statistics • Support unit management in abating imminent hazards and develop corrective action plans • Guide or conduct routine audits and assessments for occupational safety, health, and environmental management systems • Work independently and may instruct or coach other professionals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience required • Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required • Professional Certifications/Licenses CSP, CHCM, ARM may be required • Ability to work on a team • 30% travel • Knowledge of Federal, State, local, and American Red Cross regulations, standards, and policies • Experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local fire protection agency compliance • Experience with occupational safety, health, and environmental management systems • Experience with OSHA programs, DOT programs, waste management programs, chemical hygiene plans, exposure control plans, PPE management programs, and fleet safety programs
