📋 Description

• Own product design decisions and direction across the entire customer experience, from sales through deployment, AI agent interactions, and analytics • Set the information architecture for the converging conversation intelligence and agent-building platform • Own the design system architecture, pattern language, documented decisions, governance, and engineering contribution model • Extend design influence across product managers, delivery engineers, and solutions engineers • Drive prototype-and-validation loops with internal customers, contact center operators, and other users • Bring product design and conversation design together and own the supporting research practice • Lead and mature the product design practice while reporting to the VP of Product • Define and hire a Lead/Principal Product Designer

🎯 Requirements

• Based in a US or Canadian timezone • 10+ years of product design experience, including 2–3+ years at the director or principal level • Experience leading or growing designers • Experience owning design for an enterprise or operational product • HCI or interaction-design foundation • Experience thinking across systems, journeys, and multiple touchpoints • Experience driving organizational change through resistance • Product and business thinking, including customer-informed decision-making • Experience governing a design system, including contribution, documentation, deprecation, and governance • Ability to identify opportunities and set priorities independently • Experience using AI tools in real design work and creating adopted workflows or assets • Ability to set direction, give feedback, run critiques, grow designers, and hire • Figma fluency with components, variants, libraries, variables, and tokens • Comfort moving between Figma and code, including Storybook, shadcn/ui, Tailwind, Cursor, or Claude Code • Experience designing AI or conversational products and non-deterministic outputs • Experience with operational or contact center tooling • Experience defining a design practice from close to nothing • Experience leading designers across product, conversation, content, or research disciplines
