📋 Description

• Lead origination efforts by developing and maintaining deep relationships with brokers, developers, owners, housing authorities, and capital partners • Build a repeatable pipeline of proprietary and off-market opportunities within target markets • Identify and prioritize preservation and development opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy • Structure and negotiate transactions, including purchase agreements, joint ventures, and partnership structures • Oversee underwriting and financial analysis, working closely with internal team members while maintaining full deal accountability • Lead investment committee presentations and drive internal decision-making • Partner with capital markets to align debt and equity execution (LIHTC, bonds, agency financing, soft debt) • Represent the firm externally across industry events, conferences, and key stakeholder meetings • Contribute to geographic and thematic investment strategy, particularly within core preservation markets

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, development, or investments • Demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing transactions, ideally within affordable housing • Strong existing industry relationships (brokers, developers, agencies, equity providers) that translate into deal flow • Deep understanding of LIHTC and complex capital stacks • Experience negotiating and structuring transactions with multiple stakeholders • Strong leadership presence and ability to operate autonomously • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and ownership
