📋 Description

• Provide strategic financial leadership as the business prepares for fundraising and its next stage of development • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and scenario planning • Support fundraising strategy and investor readiness • Support investor discussions and due diligence • Advise on financial strategy, capital requirements and cash/runway planning • Establish appropriate financial reporting, governance and controls • Provide financial input into commercial models and strategic partnerships • Support Board and investor reporting • Work with external accountants and specialist advisers • Help establish a scalable finance function • Focus on high-value financial leadership rather than routine transactional finance or bookkeeping • Work closely with the Founder/CEO and wider leadership team

🎯 Requirements

• Experience operating as a CFO, Finance Director, Fractional CFO or equivalent senior finance leader within FinTech, financial services or a high-growth technology business • Experience supporting fundraising, investor readiness and investor due diligence • Experience personally leading or materially developing a financial model, fundraising model or scenario-planning exercise • Experience working with early-stage or pre-revenue businesses while finance infrastructure, processes and controls were being developed • Experience within trade finance, payments, lending, structured finance, banking or another relevant financial-services environment • Ability to consistently commit approximately 6–8 hours per week alongside other professional commitments • Strong financial modelling and forecasting capability • Demonstrable fundraising and investor-facing experience • Early-stage/startup experience • Strong financial governance knowledge • Commercial judgement • Confidence working directly with founders and senior stakeholders • Ability to create infrastructure rather than rely upon an established finance function • Ability to make meaningful executive-level impact within 6–8 hours per week • Clear answers to all mandatory qualifying questions in the cover letter; applications missing answers will be automatically disqualified
