📋 Description

• Provide senior internal legal leadership • Advise the Founder/CEO and leadership team • Coordinate external legal advisers • Support regulatory strategy • Advise on commercial and strategic-partnership agreements • Support technology and supplier contracting • Advise on IP and data-protection matters • Support fundraising and investor due diligence • Advise on governance and corporate matters • Support cross-border legal requirements • Establish scalable legal processes and documentation • Identify material legal risks early and help leadership make proportionate commercial decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Senior in-house or equivalent legal leadership experience within FinTech, financial services or another highly regulated technology environment • Qualified to practise law; state jurisdiction, qualification and current practising status where applicable • Experience advising early-stage or high-growth businesses • Experience personally leading or materially negotiating complex commercial, technology, partnership or financial-services agreements • Experience with UK financial-services regulation and regulatory-perimeter issues • Relevant experience involving payments, trade finance, lending, banking, Web3/blockchain or cross-border financial services • Experience coordinating specialist external counsel and deciding when external legal advice is genuinely required • Ability to consistently commit approximately 6–8 hours per week alongside other professional commitments • Strong legal expertise and commercial judgement
