📋 Description

• Perform transmission line design in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE (wood, steel, and concrete) • Develop project drawings and documents including, but not limited to, plan and profiles, bill of materials, assembly details, foundation details • Interpret and apply RRC, client, and industry standards to independently execute projects/tasks, using sound judgment in design evaluation and criteria selection, with oversight and guidance from senior engineers • Ensure designs meet project specifications, design requirements, and company quality standards • Contribute to the creation, improvement, and implementation of internal design procedures and standards • Mentor and train designers/technicians and share technical expertise • Project site-visits are possible on occasion

🎯 Requirements

• Associates or technical school degree or combination of education and relevant experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line engineering design • Proficiency using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE (wood, steel, and concrete), Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills • Knowledge of design codes, standards, and guidelines such as NESC, RUS, and ASCE 7, material procurement process, and construction work packages • Must be authorized for full-time work in Canada or the United States
