📋 Description

• Oversee litigation, third-party process, and regulatory requests involving the company • Serve as our in-house expert on the regulatory and policy landscape relating to generative AI, including advising product and engineering teams on key developments • Develop and execute Runway’s IP enforcement strategy • Dive into the technical aspects of the product to learn it inside and out, to inform your advice to the business • Manage outside counsel and external advisors as appropriate • Support the team in a number of other legal domains, potentially including, but not limited to: employment, trust & safety, policy, commercial, privacy, IP, and/or others

🎯 Requirements

• A J.D. and admission in good standing with at least one state bar • Strong business acumen • 7+ years of experience, including 4+ years of experience in litigation (can include clerkships) • Experience working with cutting-edge technologies is highly preferred • The capacity to think big; a bias for action; and a strong sense of ownership • A working knowledge of the key legal issues in Runway’s industry • Excitement about generative AI and motivation to become a leading expert in the legal landscape governing a rapidly innovating industry, and how it should evolve
