📋 Description

• Lead the combined 25-person product and engineering organisation • Report directly to the CEO and participate at the leadership level • Own end-to-end product and technology strategy for scraping infrastructure, proxy networks, and structured data API products • Optimise proxy vendor relationships and build infrastructure capacity • Develop deep understanding of the product and backend to act as a technical sparring partner to the CEO • Integrate ScraperAPI and Traject Data infrastructure into a coherent technical roadmap • Lead, scale, and develop the product and engineering organisation • Set technical architecture direction for high-scale, high-reliability infrastructure, including proxy management, anti-bot evasion, and large-scale scraping systems • Drive AI and modern ML tooling into the product and engineering processes • Define and execute a unified product roadmap across ScraperAPI and Traject Data • Represent product and technology to the board • Align product direction and business strategy with the CEO and commercial leadership • Troubleshoot, fix, or challenge technical decisions involving code and infrastructure when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading product and/or engineering at a highly technical company in a CTO, CPO, VP Engineering, or similar role • Experience leading an organisation of 25+ people or larger • Hands-on depth in web scraping, proxies, or closely adjacent infrastructure • Understanding of the operational realities of web scraping infrastructure • Track record with AI/ML, including AI-powered product capabilities and AI-native engineering practices • Experience owning product vision and technical architecture together • Board-level experience and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership • Bonus: experience integrating product lines after a merger or acquisition • Ability to work effectively across multiple countries and time zones
