• Manage a varied caseload of Employers' Liability and Public Liability injury claims • Handle Third Party Property Damage claims • Investigate policy coverage and legal liability • Negotiate and settle claims on behalf of insurer and corporate clients • Handle injury and property damage claims through to conclusion • Investigate allegations made against policyholders • Provide detailed liability advice • Gather and assess relevant evidence • Identify potential fraud risks • Maintain proactive communication with all parties • Manage litigated files where required • Ensure accurate record keeping and correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle
• Thorough knowledge of current case law, common law/statutes, and regulations • Insurance qualifications are desirable, but relevant experience is equally valued • Strong team working and collaboration skills • Good understanding of insurance law and policy wording interpretation • Knowledge of contract, statute, and civil liability • Strong investigation skills and attention to detail • Ability to work with corporate clients, small businesses, insurers, and brokers • Influencing skills to gain agreement on proposals and ideas • Effective listening and empathetic response skills • Clear and concise communication skills • Motivation to provide prompt, efficient and personalised service to both external and internal customers
