📋 Description

• Lead a team of subject matter experts in high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) substation projects, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project goals. • Review design documents, bid packages, and project schedules to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, proactively identifying and resolving potential conflicts or installation issues. • Drive the implementation of engineering standards and cost-effective design alternatives, keeping stakeholders informed of any project impacts or changes. • Evaluate construction documents for completeness, accuracy, and constructability. • Facilitate effective pre-construction planning sessions to align teams and mitigate risks. • Provide ongoing design and installation support, including responding to RFIs from on-site staff, EPC contractors, and project management teams. • Collaborate with operations engineering and site development teams to review project proposals, advising on schedules, constraints, and execution strategies. • Ensure construction activities align with engineering design through preparatory meetings and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes. • Manage engineering service providers and associated contracts to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. • Support the oversight and coordination of general contractors and their contractual obligations. • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and ensuring successful execution across all phases.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in construction management, design, design management, or relevant field • 7+ years’ experience with substation design and/or substation construction • Experience leading teams • Experience with high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) substations • Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering • Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred but not required)
