📋 Description

• Design, code, and launch backend features and services that help restaurant partners operate efficiently • Identify asymmetric opportunities where small technical changes deliver disproportionate value • Own initiatives from concept through production • Collaborate with product, design, and other teams to define solutions, execute rapidly, and iterate based on feedback • Use appropriate technologies, including Python, Flask, Go, Ruby, and cloud services, to solve tasks scalably • Collaborate with a team of 5 to 8 backend engineers across the US, UK, and Europe • Review code and brainstorm ideas with teammates • Apply coding, testing, monitoring, and DevOps best practices • Write unit tests and maintain logging and alerting to ensure production reliability and performance

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience crafting scalable backend systems in Python (Flask) • Experience working with databases and cloud services • Comfortable using monitoring and logging tools • Technology-agnostic and able to quickly learn new languages or frameworks such as Go or Ruby • Experience working effectively on a distributed team and communicating asynchronously • Comfortable collaborating across different time zones and backgrounds • Product and customer focus, with the ability to express opinions on product direction and design • Creative problem-solving and willingness to experiment, adapt, and iterate • Ability to take ownership of problems end-to-end and work with urgency in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
