📋 Description

• Review 3D character assets (sculpts, models, textures, materials, topology, and deformation readiness) for visual fidelity, anatomical accuracy, and technical quality. • Deliver clear, constructive written, oral, and visual feedback, ensuring alignment with project style guides, fidelity targets, and technical specifications. • Integrate approved assets into game engines (such as Unreal), validating naming conventions, scale, materials, and optimization. • Partner closely with internal leads, technical artists, and production teams to ensure pipeline cohesion and quality consistency. • Identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve visual, deformation, or technical issues related to character assets. • Create and maintain documentation for character art workflows, review guidelines, and best practices. • Participate in internal review meetings and maintain strong communication with global partners. • Provide hands-on support when required, including sculpting, modeling, texturing, and polish passes using Maya/Max, ZBrush, Substance tools, and Photoshop. • Enter review notes and approvals into project tracking systems such as JIRA or ShotGrid.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Character Artist or Senior Character Artist in game development. • At least one shipped title (console, PC, or equivalent). • Expert understanding of human and creature anatomy, silhouette, topology, UVs, PBR texturing, and character material creation. • Proficiency in industry-standard software: Maya or 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop. • Strong understanding of current-gen pipelines, character asset requirements, and optimization for real-time environments. • Proven ability to evaluate, critique, and guide character art with clear and actionable feedback. • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. • Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working with distributed teams.
