📋 Description

• Take overall responsibility for financial operations across UK and GSA countries and entities, including the UK, South Africa, France, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Luxembourg • Manage a team responsible for financial activities, management reporting, statutory requirements, and tax regulatory requirements • Report to the Sr. Director Controller for EMEA / EMEA Controller • Proactively manage an outsourced accounting team in India through daily calls • Manage accounting activities through R2R functions • Deliver global finance operations synergies and standardize processes and systems • Eliminate manual processes and introduce scalable automated solutions • Implement the new D365 financial system • Reduce the number of legal entities • Ensure adherence to group accounting timelines, policies, and internal controls • Oversee preparation, review, sign-off, and submission of local statutory and tax filings • Work with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate deliverables • Oversee cash management, intercompany and royalty payments, and bank relationships • Review weekly tax cash forecasts against actuals • Manage quarterly management reporting packages and income statement/balance sheet flux reviews • Prepare monthly P&L review documents and month-on-month variance analyses • Validate and approve journal entries, purchase requisitions, system access, travel, and expense reports • Review balance sheet account reconciliations • Maintain or improve the timeliness and quality of internal and external financial reporting • Manage VAT and Corporation Tax returns and support tax audits • Drive remediation and corrective actions for financial activities • Perform ad hoc accounting research and analysis • Support accounting integration for new entity acquisitions • Participate in business and finance projects • Provide value-added support to regional businesses

🎯 Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified • Strong technical accounting and tax skills • Preferred system experience: Dynamics AX & D365 • Advanced Excel skills • Experience overseeing remote teams in multiple locations within an international organization • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments • Knowledge of various finance systems and Microsoft Office applications • Experience with change management and efficiency improvements • Proven background in financial control • Commercial awareness and business acumen • Good people management skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Willingness and ability to learn and execute Solera values • Results-driven and enthusiastic about driving improvement initiatives • Attention to detail and analytical mindset • Ability to understand workflow system details • Ability to improve and implement processes and procedures • Proactive, enthusiastic, output-driven, resilient, and high-energy • Unquestionable integrity • Ability to thrive in a pressurized, high-output environment
