📋 Description

• Provide general financial aid knowledge and overviews to new, continuing, and returning students • Develop, negotiate, and finalize student financial plans in compliance with institutional policies and Federal/State regulations • Explain and guide students and parents through the application process, including verification, conflicting information, and C Code Resolution • Counsel students on acceptances and matters related to student financial plans • Work with Admission Representatives to provide service to prospective students and parents • Package assigned new, continuing, re-entry, and transfer students accurately and efficiently • Guide students through required forms, documents, and financial aid processes • Communicate financial plans, aid-source rights, and responsibilities to students and parents • Assist with alternative financing for remaining balances • Ensure student files are complete and accurate and aid is paid timely • Review ISIRs, request outstanding documents, and perform verification and C Code reviews • Use reports to review students, analyze work needed, and independently prioritize workload • Provide strong customer service and explain aid and account status • Complete required training modules within 30 days of availability • Assist with special projects and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or Associate’s Degree and 3 years of related experience with federal and student financial aid, or 5 years of related experience with federal and student aid • Financial aid or accounting experience required • Customer service and problem-solving experience required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to make small group presentations and interact one-on-one • Ability to multitask, work independently, and make decisions based on guidelines • Strong basic computer software skills, including MS Office • Exposure to financial aid software; Campus Vue/Campus Nexus preferred
