For decades it has acted as the bridge between generous donors and transplant recipients, operating a donor registry, providing compassionate support and resources to donor families, and partnering with hospitals and medical professionals to maximize donation opportunities. The organization leads community education and outreach, runs events and volunteer programs, and maintains offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville to serve its statewide service areas.

📋 Description

• Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls communicating and promoting organ, tissue, and eye donation • Document referrals from all referring organizations • Properly assess potential organ/tissue donation and communicate referrals • Perform authorization conversations and complete paperwork for anatomical gifts • Screen potential tissue and eye donors with approved agencies • Facilitate donation through telephone and computer referrals • Enter data into donor and referral database • Share information with potential donor families over a recorded telephone line

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Completion of an accredited clinical healthcare program resulting in certification, registry, or licensure • 1-year experience working in a similar position at another Organ Procurement Organization, Eye Bank or Tissue Bank may substitute for education or experience • Strong organization and interpersonal skills • Effective communication and listening skills • Ability to practice with a high degree of autonomy in a self-directed manner • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team • Consistent demonstration of attention to detail, precision, accuracy, and customer satisfaction • Strong prioritization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
