📋 Description

• Own the AI and data governance workstream across customer implementations. • Identify customer requirements for internal approval, coordinate Spotted Zebra inputs, and keep governance processes moving. • Support pre-sales and post-sales customer questions on AI governance, human oversight, automated decision-making, fairness, explainability, bias, data protection, privacy, and regulatory readiness. • Create, maintain, and tailor customer-facing governance documentation, including AI governance packs, DPIA materials, risk assessments, model and product documentation, human oversight explanations, bias-audit evidence, candidate notices, FAQs, and due-diligence responses. • Track legislation and regulatory expectations across operating regions and maintain the jurisdiction-by-obligation matrix. • Support data protection, privacy, and automated decision-making governance. • Coordinate external and internal assurance work, including independent bias audits. • Maintain DPIAs, risk assessments, provider documentation, technical files, model cards, risk registers, and evidence for AI management system maturity and ISO/IEC 42001 readiness. • Translate governance requirements into product and process improvements involving consent capture, candidate notices, human review, retention, contestability, audit trails, reporting, and customer configuration. • Build templates, playbooks, standard responses, implementation checklists, and governance workflows. • Act as primary in-house legal counsel by reviewing and negotiating customer and supplier agreements, advising on contractual risk and day-to-day legal matters, and engaging specialist external counsel when required. • Improve customer-facing governance materials, help enterprise customers secure AI and data-governance approval, reduce approval timelines, scale internal approval processes, and establish effective contract review.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in the UK or another relevant jurisdiction. • Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders. • Able to explain legal, regulatory, and governance topics clearly and practically. • Comfortable working with AI governance committees, legal teams, privacy teams, procurement, business leaders, and product/engineering teams. • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial technology or SaaS agreements. • Ability to write clear, high-quality documentation. • Ability to help customers navigate complex internal decision-making. • Ability to balance governance rigour with commercial pragmatism. • Experience creating repeatable processes, templates, and playbooks. • Interest in responsible AI, especially in high-stakes hiring and talent workflows. • Experience working in a start-up or scaling technology company. • Valuable experience supporting enterprise customers through AI-governance, legal, compliance, or procurement approval. • Valuable experience in legal, compliance, privacy, or data protection. • Valuable experience in enterprise SaaS due diligence or customer assurance. • Valuable experience in HR technology, hiring, assessment, or occupational psychology. • Valuable experience in regulated software implementation. • Valuable experience in customer-facing consulting or solutions roles. • Valuable experience drafting policies, DPIAs, risk assessments, governance packs, or customer-facing documentation. • Valuable experience managing specialist external counsel.
