📋 Description

• Strategically manage commercial procurement across a wide range of large-scale spend categories • Support changes to the organisation’s procurement approach at all levels • Maximise efficiencies and ensure effective procurement systems are in place • Develop, lead, and manage a small procurement team • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships and provide procurement guidance and solutions • Update and implement Action for Children’s procurement strategy • Manage outsourcing partners through competitive tender exercises or negotiation • Apply supplier selection and management strategies • Negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements with suppliers • Drive compliance and manage controls, governance, and processes • Manage the complete procure-to-pay process • Oversee the professional or technical category portfolio, prioritise spend activity, identify cost savings, tender, and manage supplier and product/service lifecycles

🎯 Requirements

• MCIPS Qualified • Experience in a procurement environment • Experience managing high-value contracts • Experience in a not-for-profit or public sector environment preferred • Ability to influence behavioural change and stakeholders and shape requirements • Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships and establish relationships with new suppliers • Proven ability to guide and advise on complex procurement matters • Experience developing and reviewing a procurement strategy • Experience managing staff and role-modelling professional standards and behaviours • Demonstrable understanding of EDI policies and their application in the workplace • Must be based in the UK • Visa sponsorship is not available • DBS Basic vetting level required
