📋 Description

• At SpruceID, we are reimagining trusted interactions by creating the world’s best software for digital identity. • As a Forward Deployed Mobile Engineer, you will focus on building and deploying mobile applications that put SpruceID’s technology directly into the hands of people engaging with their governments. • You will work closely with state governments, public sector partners, and SpruceID teams to design and deliver secure, private, and accessible mobile experiences. • This role combines hands-on development with customer-facing delivery, ensuring mobile applications meet high technical standards and real-world public sector needs. • This job is fully remote within the US, but we prefer candidates in states where we do business including CA, UT, and CO

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production mobile apps for iOS and/or Android • Proficiency in at least one mobile development stack: Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native • Experience building backend services and APIs, and integrating mobile apps • Strong understanding of mobile security, including secure storage, authentication, and encryption practices • Experience with low-level protocols such as Bluetooth or NFC • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices for mobile apps • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers, ideally in consulting or delivery contexts • Based in the US and willing to engage directly with state government partners
