📋 Description

• Lead the Manual and Automation QA teams with 5 direct reports • Distribute workload, set priorities, and ensure predictable delivery • Develop engineers through mentoring, feedback, performance reviews, onboarding, and hiring • Own and continuously improve QA strategy, processes, and testing standards • Plan and coordinate regression, smoke, functional, integration, and automated testing across frequent releases • Drive automation strategy with AQA engineers, prioritizing critical business flows and reducing repetitive manual testing • Ensure QA involvement in requirements analysis, technical refinements, risk identification, and test planning • Own release readiness and identify and communicate quality risks before deployment • Track and improve QA efficiency, test coverage, and defect trends • Use quality data to make decisions • Introduce AI-assisted QA practices where they create measurable impact without compromising quality • Own quality for web funnels, paywalls, payments, subscriptions, and integrations • Build scalable QA processes for frequent releases

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a QA Lead with direct reports in both manual and automation testing • Background in product IT companies • Experience owning test strategy end to end, including quality gates, regression approach, manual versus automated balance, release go/no-go decisions, risk-based testing, and quality metrics • Hands-on experience testing frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and E2E flows • Ability to investigate complex issues using Chrome DevTools, network analysis, logs, HAR files, and monitoring • Confidence with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI, including authentication, webhooks, retries, error handling, and data consistency • Experience testing payment and subscription flows, including Chargebee, Adapty, Payrails, Apple Pay, Google Pay, taxes, local currencies, and pricing • Understanding of test automation architecture, CI/CD, flaky tests, and maintenance costs • Practical familiarity with Playwright/TypeScript or a similar framework • Experience using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor in test design, requirements analysis, and documentation, with critical evaluation of output • Ability to communicate quality risks clearly to engineering, product, and leadership • Ability to push back when needed and build quality as a shared engineering responsibility • Hands-on development and maintenance of Playwright/TypeScript automated tests is nice to have • Experience with funnel platforms, A/B testing, traffic allocation, and experiment analytics is nice to have • Experience with CRM and marketing integrations such as Reteno is nice to have • Experience testing AI features and non-deterministic systems is nice to have • Experience introducing AI-assisted QA and measuring its effectiveness is nice to have • Experience managing QA in a fast-growing product company, ideally B2C mobile subscription or EdTech, is nice to have • Experience with analytics validation, complex UI flows, responsive design, cross-browser testing, TestRail, Jira, and Confluence is nice to have • European working hours • Must be able to lead and develop a team of 5 QA engineers
