📋 Description

• Define Stratus's design vision that differentiates us in the construction technology market • Establish design strategy that drives customer acquisition, engagement, and retention • Build design culture from scratch, educating the organization on design's strategic value • Position design as a business driver , not just a feature factory—connecting UX improvements to ARR growth, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning • Partner with leadership to integrate design thinking into business strategy and product roadmap • Lead design reviews with stakeholders, articulating design decisions in business terms • Develop deep expertise in construction workflows, MEP contractor needs, and industry pain points • Design critical user experiences for complex B2B workflows spanning desktop, tablet, and mobile contexts • Create high-fidelity prototypes that communicate vision and facilitate stakeholder alignment

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in product design including end-to-end ownership of complex B2B or technical software experiences. • Proven track record of establishing design culture at early-stage or design-immature organizations • Deep experience designing complex B2B SaaS platforms, ideally for technical or industrial users • Understanding of enterprise software requirements including permissions, data governance, and multi-user workflows • Mobile-first responsive design for field workers with varying technical comfort levels • Stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Sales, and executive teams • Clear communication that translates user insights into business strategy and technical requirements • Tool expertise in Figma, including advanced prototyping, design tokens, and team collaboration • Design operations experience scaling design across multiple products and stakeholders. • Technical understanding of APIs, databases, or front-end development.
