• Lead, coach, and support a team of retirement plan administrators • Oversee qualified retirement plan administration and annual compliance • Review, authorize, and provide final quality assurance for team work • Track workloads, monitor project progress, and manage compliance deadlines • Coordinate with clients to obtain and validate census data, financial information, and documentation • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex administrative, compliance, and client service issues • Draft and review non-standard correspondence, client communications, and technical reports • Review standard client correspondence and reporting • Review annual compliance testing, including nondiscrimination, coverage, and top-heavy testing • Assist with and review Form 5500 preparation and reconciliation of trust activity and plan assets • Partner with attorneys, actuaries, financial advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders • Provide consulting support for new plan implementation and client onboarding • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and quality • Mentor and develop team members through coaching, technical guidance, feedback, and training • Stay current on ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations • Use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and retirement plan administration software
• 8 years of A-to-Z defined contribution retirement plan administration experience within a TPA environment • Active ASPPA or NIPA professional designation (QKA, QPA, CPC, APA, APR, or equivalent) • Minimum 2 years of experience leading, reviewing, and managing other retirement plan administrators • Experience reviewing technical work and maintaining accountability for team deliverables • Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations governing qualified retirement plans • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills • Strong analytical, mathematical, and accounting aptitude • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines with exceptional attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities • Commitment to high-quality work and continuous process improvement • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word • Preferred: experience administering DC/DB combination plans • Preferred: experience leading or managing a remote team • Preferred: experience with PensionPro, ASC, Relius, FT Williams, Datair, or similar systems • Preferred: bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
