📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure supporting both hospital and academic environments. • Lead enterprise network architecture initiatives including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN solutions. • Ensure performance, security, and reliability for clinical applications such as Epic EHR and related healthcare systems. • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to align network strategy with enterprise IT goals. • Implement and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and network security controls. • Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues, leading root-cause analysis and remediation. • Support cloud connectivity (Azure, AWS) and hybrid integrations across data center and SaaS environments. • Maintain and optimize network monitoring, capacity planning, and performance metrics. • Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure service quality, uptime, and contract compliance. • Document network architectures, policies, and standard operating procedures. • Mentor junior engineers and participate in strategic planning for technology upgrades and modernization.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in technical network engineering • Relevant education or experience may be substituted as appropriate. • Master’s degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred. • 10+ years of progressive experience in network architecture and operations preferred. • Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital environment strongly preferred. • Certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Project Management Professional (PMP)
