📋 Description

• Act as the subject matter expert for SAP UK Payroll functional requirements, specialising in Public Sector Payroll • Analyse annual UK payroll legislation changes and translate them into Agile user stories, functional specifications, and SAP configuration • Configure SAP HCM Payroll to deliver legislative updates and customer change requests • Work closely with development teams throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle to design and deliver high-quality payroll solutions • You'll work directly with UK customers, understanding complex payroll requirements and providing trusted functional advice • Produce clear functional documentation and communicate complex legislative requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Perform functional validation, unit testing and support end-to-end testing to ensure legislative compliance • Mentor QA teams on payroll testing approaches, expected outcomes and best practice • Provide trusted advice to customers on payroll legislation, SAP Payroll functionality and best practice • Support customer projects requiring specialist SAP Payroll functional expertise • Support complex Public Sector payroll scenarios including: RTI (Real Time Information) Multiple Employment Payroll sequencing Backdated pay awards Payroll Administration Legislative compliance • Contribute to continuous improvement across our Tax, Legal & Regulatory services, including exploring opportunities to leverage AI and automation.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years' SAP Functional experience • Strong SAP HCM Payroll configuration experience • Experience supporting SAP ECC Payroll environments • Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation and annual legislative updates • Experience delivering end-to-end payroll processing • Experience producing functional specifications and translating legislation into SAP solutions • Strong understanding of: RTI (Real Time Information) Payroll sequencing Payroll administration Multiple Employment Public Sector payroll requirements • Experience working with Local Government, Education, NHS, or other Public Sector organisations would be highly desirable • Excellent analytical, documentation and stakeholder management skills • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll legislation clearly • Experience working within Agile delivery teams • A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring colleagues and sharing knowledge.
