📋 Description

• Collaborate with representatives from other functions to plan, execute, and analyze biomarker aspects, including genomics, of clinical or biomarker studies • Serve as project biomarker statistician under the guidance of an experienced statistician • Develop Biomarker Evaluation Plans for studies • Provide statistical input in clinical development discussions and apply AI and ML approaches • Organize and coordinate statistical activities for biomarker research and development • Design and conduct advanced genomics and biomarker data analyses • Perform statistical programming and design complex analysis algorithms • Handle RNA, Olink, and other biomarker data • Produce accurate Biomarker Evaluation Reports and interpret results • Independently address routine and complex statistical questions, modeling, and tasks • Develop and implement standard processes for routine biomarker assessments

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics or Mathematics, or related field • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively • Minimal supervision required • Proven experience developing and deploying deep learning models with PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras • Solid understanding of ML algorithms and statistical methods, including survival analysis and batch-effect handling, and their application in pharma/biomarker discovery • Knowledge of explainable AI, including SHAP, attention attribution, and counterfactuals • Knowledge of uncertainty quantification for biomarker interpretability • Previous experience independently leading a biomarker study • Previous clinical trial experience preferred • Industry experience preferred • Strong knowledge of biomarker evaluation, especially in immunology and infections, type I diabetes, relevant parameters, and underlying biology • Good knowledge of statistical programming languages including R, Bioconductor, relevant R packages for genetic data, and Python • Experience analyzing high-dimensional data • Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education may be considered
