📋 Description

• Analyze historical biological field-trial data to identify patterns and assess the impact of formulations, rates, mixtures, agricultural practices, and environmental conditions on product performance • Support domain experts in understanding product performance and identifying analytics opportunities • Interpret physical chemistry, biokinetic, formulation, marketing, and environmental data to support decisions and design laboratory, glasshouse, and field trials • Guide technical managers in designing field trials to validate scientific hypotheses and model predictions • Work with R&D IT and software developers to improve data-model integrations and deploy tailored applications • Monitor and explore new modelling approaches, analytical tools, and methodologies • Engage with digital transformation projects to accelerate data science impact for predictive field trialing • Collaborate with colleagues and external collaborators and integrate complementary capabilities into projects and initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Strong foundations in data science at postgraduate level with applications in natural sciences (e.g. biology, ecology, environmental sciences) • Proven experience using main data-science, analytics, modelling and visualization Python libraries, including machine learning and deep learning libraries • Scientific domain knowledge in related fields such as environmental sciences or biology • Prior experience developing machine-learning models relevant to biological or crop protection outcomes • Knowledge of data analysis and extracting data insights and new understanding • Ability to communicate scientific and data concepts to specialist and non-specialist audiences • Adaptability to different business challenges and data types/sources • Ability to learn and utilize a range of analytical tools and methodologies • Ability to visualize and tell stories with data • Analytical problem-solving skills and innovative thinking • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and manage multiple priorities in a multicultural scientific environment • Hands-on experience leveraging generative AI approaches is a plus • CV, cover letter, and one-page dataset exploration document required for application
