📋 Description

• Own hosting/cloud cost transparency by building reporting and dashboards on unit economics and cost drivers by product, team, and workload • Partner with engineering to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities, including rightsizing, reserved capacity, architecture changes, and non-production environment efficiency • Build cost governance for AI/GPU compute and security telemetry pipelines, including data retention and lifecycle decisions with Security and Compliance • Manage cost and pricing tradeoffs across multi-cloud, multi-region infrastructure, including data transfer, residency, and compliance costs • Translate infrastructure costs into cost-to-serve and gross-margin metrics that inform pricing and competitive strategy • Partner with engineering leadership through a regular cadence to advance cost initiatives and report on delivered savings • Embed with engineering teams to establish cost-aware architecture patterns, automated tagging hygiene, and regular cost-review cadences

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or operational cost management • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide cost initiatives and influencing cross-functional leaders • Demonstrated track record of reducing cloud/hosting spend at scale using AWS, GCP, or Azure • Strong grasp of unit economics and ability to translate technical infrastructure costs into actionable metrics • Experience building governance processes and cross-functional accountability • Proven ability to establish cross-functional governance structures across Finance, Product, and Engineering leadership • Experience with GPU/AI compute cost optimization and/or high-volume data pipeline cost management • Deep familiarity with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) and massive-scale data ingestion/telemetry pipelines • FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP), or equivalent hands-on experience • Familiarity with the FOCUS (FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification) framework
