📋 Description

• Provide expert advice on employment and labor law issues, including hiring, performance management and discharge, employment disputes/wrongful termination claims, disability accommodation, wage and hour, employee privacy, and related matters • Manage litigation • Oversee employee form agreements • Conduct training across all geographies • Supervise outside counsel and liaise with local counsel • Influence operations and policies to ensure compliance and best practices • Work closely with internal stakeholders on employment practices and regional legal requirements • Draft and maintain employment-related policies required for global operations, including ethics, anti-corruption, and anti-harassment policies • Support Human Resources through operational guidance and process training • Stay informed on employment and labor law issues affecting Talkdesk • Balance competing priorities among various constituencies • Initially report to the General Counsel • Travel to support and train in business geographies

🎯 Requirements

• United States-based Employment Lawyer • Law degree required • Current license to practice in California or Washington State • Minimum of 5 years of law firm or equivalent in-house experience • Demonstrated experience in international employment law • Superior writing and presentation skills • Superior communication and leadership skills • Self-motivated, organized, and proactive • Requires little hands-on supervision • Willingness to travel to support and train across business geographies
