📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end financial management and strategic oversight across group companies and the Managing Director’s personal finances • Oversee accounts payable and receivable; perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers • Prepare monthly P&Ls, balance sheets, cash-flow statements, forecasts and formal reporting packs with commentary and insights • Develop and track financial forecasts and budgets across multiple entities • Prepare financial models, pitch decks and fundraising documents for M&A and capital-raising activities • Oversee Australian compliance matters: BAS, payroll, superannuation, and ASIC lodgments; liaise with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors • Track and oversee investments (property and superannuation), evaluate opportunities and liaise with financial advisors and fund managers • Administer the Managing Director’s personal financial records and investment oversight • Draft, issue and manage employment contracts, build and edit job descriptions and handle small-scale HR administration • Coordinate correspondence and manage advisor relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Proven senior finance experience, ideally with exposure to service-oriented industries • Strong background in financial operations, forecasting, and management reporting • Strong hands on experience with Xero Accounting Software • Expertise in M&A and capital-raising support is a big plus • Working knowledge of Australian compliance requirements (BAS, payroll, superannuation, ASIC filings) • Experience managing HR processes, employment contracts, and job descriptions • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical capability • Ability to balance hands-on accounting with strategic financial leadership • Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior management and external advisors • Startup mindset: flexible, proactive, and willing to be hands-on • Commercially astute with a focus on accuracy and results
