📋 Description

• Lead the growth, operational health, delivery execution, workforce management, and people leadership of the AWS Platform Services customer execution team. • Translate AWS practice strategy and growth targets into workforce, capability, delivery, and investment plans. • Build and operate a scalable AWS practice across migration, modernization, cloud foundations, platform engineering, security, application modernization, data, AI, and managed cloud capabilities. • Establish operating cadences for pipeline visibility, staffing, utilization, delivery health, capability development, and internal priorities. • Own workforce allocation, bench management, utilization, capacity planning, staffing speed, and delivery-risk escalation. • Govern delivery portfolios through project reviews, technical health checks, architecture assurance, recovery actions, and customer engagement when leadership intervention is required. • Lead AWS Platform Architects, engineers, consultants, and delivery leads through goals, one-on-ones, reviews, coaching, feedback, recognition, and corrective action. • Develop career plans, certification plans, succession coverage, hiring, onboarding, retention, and performance calibration. • Review SOWs, staffing models, role mix, effort assumptions, delivery timelines, dependencies, execution feasibility, and technical risk before customer commitments. • Improve solution-to-delivery handoffs using documented assumptions, acceptance criteria, lessons learned, and reusable delivery methods. • Provide architectural guidance across AWS platform services while promoting the AWS Well-Architected Framework, security-by-design, infrastructure as code, automation, operational readiness, and cost-conscious architecture. • Partner with AWS, sales, strategy, solutions, and delivery leadership to align capacity, capability, customer commitments, and practice growth. • Establish measurable practice scorecards and improve utilization, delivery outcomes, talent progression, predictability, and scalable AWS capacity.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading cloud consulting, professional services, or technology delivery organizations with direct people-management accountability. • Demonstrated experience managing AWS-focused teams delivering complex customer transformation programs. • Strong architectural knowledge across broad AWS platform services. • Ability to evaluate technical approaches, identify risk, and coach senior technical professionals. • Proven experience managing workforce allocation, utilization, bench, capacity planning, hiring, performance, and talent development in a consulting environment. • Experience governing delivery portfolios across scope, schedule, quality, financial performance, and customer outcomes. • Experience reviewing or developing statements of work, delivery estimates, staffing models, assumptions, dependencies, and risk provisions. • Ability to operate across technical, commercial, delivery, and people-leadership domains. • Strong written and verbal communication skills for executives, customers, AWS, and delivery teams. • AWS Associate-level certifications are required (“a must-have”). • Experience working in a technical role at some point in the career. • AWS Certified Professional or comparable advanced AWS certification is preferred. • Additional AWS specialty or professional certifications are an asset. • Experience with AWS partner programs, competencies, funding mechanisms, opportunity management, or co-sell motions is preferred. • Experience building or scaling practices across cloud foundations, platform engineering, security, migration, application modernization, data, AI, and cloud operations is preferred. • Experience leading distributed or geographically dispersed consulting teams is preferred. • Experience with enterprise or regulated-industry customers and complex multi-workstream programs is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred. • Expert-level experience.
