📋 Description

• Develop procedures for regulatory oversight supporting the Kemmerer Unit 1 project and other Natrium units • Provide inspection oversight of Natrium unit construction using knowledge of U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and inspection procedures • Review USO and TerraPower quality assurance programs for applicable requirements and commitments • Conduct supplier oversight to ensure readiness for NRC inspections • Identify issues of concern independently, communicate with team members and management, and recommend regulatory resolution paths • Lead scheduling for oversight and inspection activities • Track and analyze trends and recommend actions to Regulatory Construction Oversight management • Support the Natrium advanced reactor project as part of the Regulatory Construction Oversight team • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction organizations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience • 10-15 years of combined experience in nuclear regulatory compliance, including 10 CFR regulations and guidance and NRC reactor inspections for operating and/or construction projects • Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards • Ability to manage deadlines • Strong communication skills • High degree of trust and integrity • Ability to communicate openly • Respect and desire to foster teamwork • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, bend/stoop, grasp/grip, and perform fine motor control • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds • Visual and audio focused work • Ability to work in environments involving stairs, typing/keyboard, sitting and/or walking, and climbing for more than 8 hours per day • Travel required: 15-30% • Must identify whether a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the United States; foreign nationals are subject to U.S. Government export-control review
