📋 Description

• Own and articulate the long-term product vision for Keet as a leading private, peer-to-peer communication app with a path to 1 billion users • Analyze WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LINE, WeChat and emerging competitors to identify Keet’s P2P advantages and build the roadmap • Present product vision, strategy, metrics and progress to the board and executive leadership • Define measurable acquisition, activation, retention and virality growth strategies • Develop a deep working understanding of the Holepunch P2P stack, including Pear runtime, Bare, Hypercore, Hyperswarm, HyperDHT, Autobase and Hyperbee • Partner with engineering on NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device support, large groups, push notifications, and mobile battery/data efficiency • Own 1:1 and group voice/video calling and screen sharing to a quality bar matching or exceeding Google Meet and Zoom • Define feature tiers for stable versus experimental functionality • Use AI coding and design tools to build working prototypes and demos within days • Lead the product team and run sprint planning, prioritization, standups, reviews and retrospectives • Own deliverables from conception through release, testing and post-launch iteration • Maintain issue trackers and roadmaps reflecting priorities and sprint commitments • Coordinate engineering, QA, design, marketing and business stakeholders and manage cross-team dependencies • Provide transparent status, risk and timeline updates and address accountability issues • Own mobile release processes across iOS and Android, including App Store and Google Play submissions, compliance, listings, ratings and release management • Oversee desktop distribution and installers across macOS, Windows and Linux • Build privacy-preserving crash reporting, debugging and analytics systems

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant time in a senior or lead role owning a consumer product end to end • Proven track record of setting product vision and driving it to measurable outcomes at scale (tens of millions of users or more) • Experience leading engineers who ship products and running sprint cadences with predictable delivery across cross-functional teams • Deep JavaScript and React skills; ability to read and write production code, review pull requests, and build working prototypes • Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, including sync, offline behavior and consistency trade-offs • Hands-on experience shipping and scaling mobile apps on iOS and Android • Deep familiarity with App Store and Google Play logistics, review processes and release management • Experience with real-time voice and video calling products and related quality, latency and reliability trade-offs • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to rapidly prototype and demonstrate product concepts • Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting vision and strategy to boards, executives and investors • Judgment to make fast, high-quality decisions with incomplete information • Willingness to work in a high-intensity, fast-moving environment and go above and beyond, including extended hours when required • Excellent written and spoken English • Nice to have: product leadership experience at a major messaging app • Nice to have: experience with peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems or decentralized protocols • Nice to have: prior exposure to Holepunch, Pear or Hypercore • Nice to have: experience growing a product in emerging markets or across multiple regions and languages • Nice to have: background in privacy, encryption or security-focused products • Nice to have: familiarity with Electron, React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks, installer systems, boot performance and Linux packaging (Snap, AppImage, Flatpak) • Nice to have: understanding of unit, integration, end-to-end, test automation and performance testing • Nice to have: engineering background or computer science degree • Nice to have: experience with Git, issue trackers and modern collaboration tools • Application must include a link to a shipped product or prototype and a few sentences on taking Keet to 1 billion users
