📋 Description

• Build the agentic runtime for proactive AI agents • Develop context-building, tool/retrieval orchestration, scoring, and guardrail components • Own production components from day one • Improve grounding and product-availability accuracy through retrieval, prompting, and evaluation • Combine exact-match and semantic search in a single ranking system • Improve multilingual response quality across Italian, English, and other languages • Profile requests and optimize latency and cost • Test prompt and model changes and measure improvements • Improve evaluation systems using Langfuse traces and a golden-dataset harness • Rank, score, and suppress proactive insights so agents interrupt customers only when appropriate • Participate in screening, technical case study, founder and team interviews, reference checks, and hiring decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years shipping software professionally • At least one production LLM feature used by real users, such as a chatbot, RAG system, or agent • Knowledge of RAG, including embeddings, vector search, chunking, and reranking • Ability to analyze production traces and identify retrieval, prompt, or tool-selection issues • Experience with an LLM observability or evaluation tool such as Langfuse, LangSmith, Braintrust, Arize, or Humanloop • Strong Python and backend fundamentals • Ability to measure latency, cost, and quality • Nice to have: experience with Elastic, Algolia, Qdrant, Weaviate, fine-tuning, graph search, and e-commerce operations • Ability to work from a European country without visa sponsorship
