The practice offers senior-focused, relationship-based primary care with longer visits, reduced wait times, and 24/7 access to the care team. It provides on-site services such as lab services, EKG and circulation testing, pulmonary function testing (PFT), joint injections, and skin biopsies. Common conditions treated include arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, and COPD. Locations include Brandon, Riverview, and Spring Hill, and the center accepts Medicare plans including UnitedHealthcare MA.

📋 Description

• Apply expert coding judgment using ICD‑10 guidelines to validate accurate diagnosis codes in medical record documentation • Support the clinical care teams through completion of comprehensive pre-visit and post-encounter chart reviews • Review documentation to ensure every submitted code is fully supported • Analyze MRA reports to surface unreported or unresolved conditions • Query providers when clarification or additional documentation is needed • Maintain compliance and protect patient confidentiality

🎯 Requirements

• Professional Coder (CPC) Certification • 3+ years of experience in CMS-HCC risk adjustment or HCC coding • 3+ years of ICD‑10 coding experience • 1+ year of HEDIS/Stars experience • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and pharmacology • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
