📋 Description

• Review applications and run first-round screens across all open roles • Assess candidate fit and flag strong candidates for hiring managers • Project manage all open searches to prevent stalls and overloading hiring managers • Source and engage candidates through events, job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach, especially for senior roles • Strengthen screening questions, scorecards, time-to-fill, and hiring best practices • Draft and post job descriptions and maintain careers-page and external listings • Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate applicant-tracking records • Coordinate interviews among candidates, hiring managers, and senior staff • Keep candidates informed and represent AIPN as a professional first point of contact • Track recruiting metrics and report regularly on time-to-fill, pipeline health, and source quality • Advise hiring managers on interviewing and evaluation standards • Report to the Chief Operating Officer

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of recruiting or talent experience, including owning searches for director-level roles and above • Experience improving a hiring process already in motion, including tightening screens or reducing time-to-fill • Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment in evaluating candidates over virtual and in-person interviews • Highly organized, with the ability to manage many searches at once without dropping details • Clear, professional written and verbal communication • Proficiency with Google Workspace and an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) • Comfortable recruiting for a bipartisan organization with candidates and colleagues across the political spectrum • Interest in AI, technology policy, or national-security issues • Self-directed initiator with an upbeat, whatever-it-takes attitude
